Papaki Pepeha is a pattern recognition card game designed to normalise and celebrate the language and culture of the indigenous Māori people of Aotearoa, New Zealand.
The design of this resource was made with the rangatahi of Aotearoa in mind. The vibrant colours, abstract illustrations, sketched typography and offset layout speaks of the youthfulness and playfulness of our rangatahi.
This resource is cool, fun and strengthens relationships through the magic of play – kanohi ki te kanohi (face to face), in an ever growing technological world. It provides a fun experience for both Māori and tauiwi (non-Māori) to unite and value te Ao Māori.
